Post Time!

Howdy folks!

Yes, once again it is that time of the week, so I have some offerings for you!

First off, I’ve finally managed to get Chapter Three of Sandmen finished and edited for you.

I’ve also added two revised chapters of The Rip, along with Chapter Eight of The Prisoner of Carronne.

Please enjoy! 🙂

And while I think of it . . .

I meant to mention that my good friend Dave from Dabeagle.com is about to have his fantastic story Wayward Son published and available for sale on Amazon!

The Kindle edition is available for pre-order now, while the paperback will be available in August I believe!

And while I’m at it, I’ve also added a new site to my links page … that belonging to my friend Remmy Meggs, so please check out some of his great stories as well!  I have added links to two of his stories, The Travis Theory and Grapes of Italy, onto my Recommended Readings page!

Enjoy!

Back into the swing of things . . .

Hi folks!

First off, let me say thank you very much for all your kind comments following the final chapters of A Good Place being posted. I am very grateful for all of your support and your feedback, which has been quite overwhelming!

I would also like to thank the many people who visited the website of Father Chris Riley’s Youth of the Streets program! (My stats page tells me just which links my readers have clicked on! lol)

I don’t know how many of you may have made a donation, but it was quite gratifying that so many of you took the time to check out what they do, and hopefully they will have benefited from my having highlighted their work.

And so, now for this weeks postings! 🙂

Chapter Seven of The Prisoner of Carronne has now been added, along with the first two chapters of the story which followed After We Danced, which is called The Rip — in keeping with my promise to revise and post those earlier stories that I hadn’t yet added to this new website.

I have also finished the next installment for Sandmen, however, as my editor is away at the moment I haven’t been able to get him to work his magic on it just yet, so it will be held over until next week.

So, that’s about it for now! Enjoy your reading!

Take care!

Such a sad day . . .

. . . for both Australia and Indonesia!

What happened today was not the answer, despite their original crimes.

RIP Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran!

Oh my! Oh wow!

Well folks, once again you have left me speechless. Not only by the fact that we’ve had another record day on the website, with there having been 1883 page views, but also by your comments and emails. I am truly grateful for the support that you continue to given me! Thank you so much!

When I started writing A Good Place one of the things that I had in mind was that I would like to try and publish it … you know, as in a book … with the intention then being to donate the proceeds to a cause that I felt was worthy, and which reflected, at least in part, one of the themes from the story; that of troubled, homeless and abused youth.

In the end I didn’t go down the publishing path (or at least I haven’t tried to as yet), instead opting to post the story on my website for you all. Now that I have done that and the story has been completed, however, I think I’m going to ask a favour of those of you who may be in a position to help out.

I have never asked for anything from any of you … in fact I have even rejected offers from some of you to donate to me personally to help cover my internet costs etc … but now I think I am going to ask you for something … but remember it’s not for me, okay?

In Australia there are a number of organisations dealing with the problem of affected youth, but there is one in particular that does an amazing job, through a wide variety of programs, one of which is managed by a friend of mine. It is Father Chris Riley’s YOUTH OFF THE STREETS. Just take a look at their website to see the type of services they provide for vulnerable Australian youth.

As I mentioned, they do an amazing job, but as with all of these organisations funding can be hard to come by. So, here’s what I am asking you to do. If you liked my story and if you are in a position to be able to help (and I can certainly understand that some of you won’t be able to, or some of you are already supporting other worthy causes in your area, so it’s perfectly okay if you can’t) … there is a Donate Now button on their website (just click on the link above).

If you can help out even in just a small way (like the cost of a cup of coffee), I would be very grateful, as I am sure Youth of the Streets would be as well!!!

Anyhow, thank you again for all your support … and I’ll see you again next Thursday!

Take care!

That time of the week again . . .

Yes, folks. It’s that time of the week again!

First off, I can say that a new chapter of The Prisoner of Carronne has been added for you, while this week we wrap up A Good Place with the final three chapters!

Thank you to all of those who have emailed or messaged me to say how you have enjoyed this story. It’s quite gratifying to know that there are so many of you out there who have grown to love these characters and this place.

And even though this might be the end of this story, have no fear, because I can guarantee you that I will eventually revisit these characters to see how they have been getting on!!! 😉

So, that’s it for this week. Until next time, Happy Reading!

I’m still in the land of the living . . .

Howdy folks. Yup, I’m still in the land of the living, and am feeling a whole heap better than I was this time last week. Thank you all so much for your well wishes!

So, this week I have three new chapters of A Good Place for you, along with another revised chapter of The Prisoner of Carronne.

I’m afraid I didn’t quite get the next installment of Sandmen finished, but will hopefully have that ready for posting next week.

So, until next week, take care, and happy reading!

Presenting for your reading pleasure . . .

…this weeks updates!

Hi Folks. Yes, I’m still in the land of the living … although just by how much I’m not sure, as my flu is now a possible lung infection. Anyhow, onwards and upwards, as they say, so here are this weeks offerings! 🙂

Three more chapters of A Good Place have been posted, along with new chapters for both The Prisoner of Carronne and Sandmen!

I’m afraid the Sandmen story has gotten a little out of hand and is threatening to become a full blown story in its own right, but we’ll just have to see what I can do! Originally it was only going to be another ‘short’, but once I got my teeth into it I found there was a deeper story there, which I wanted to explore. What it may mean is that progress with Carronne won’t be quite as swift as I had originally planned, but hey, it’s all reader fodder for you guys isn’t it? 😉

Anyhow, I hope you enjoy these new chapters.

Take care! 🙂

A couple more chapters … as promised …

Howdy folks. Well, I promised you some more chapters today, so I’ve managed to post a couple more for you … after all, it’s only the flu I’m having to contend with … lol

So, today I’ve added another chapter to The Prisoner of Carronne, as well as a first chapter of a story called Sandmen, under the Thompson River Tales group!

I hope you all have an enjoyable Easter break (well, at least for those who observe the event), and enjoy the new additions.

Take care.  🙂
