Thursday offerings . . .

Hello all. Yup it’s that time of the week again!Β  πŸ™‚

Well, it has been a busy week for me, between work and sending off the revised version of The Rip to both Awesomdude and CRVBoy, but at least in between it all I’ve managed to get some writing done.Β  πŸ™‚

So, this week I have for you the final two revised chapters of Song For Guy, along with the much awaited (well, at least based on my constantly being asked when it was coming! lol) next chapter of Sandmen.

I hope you enjoy them!

Next week I will start posting the first chapters of the revised version of Thompsonville, and I’ll see what else I can rustle up for you!

Happy reading!

That time of the week again . . .

Howdy folks, yup, it’s that time of the week again. Sorry I’m running a little late today, I had stuff to do in town, plus I was hoping the new chapter of Sandmen would be back from being edited. Alas that wasn’t to be, so all I can offer you today are two more revised chapters of Song For Guy.

I’ll get the other new stuff to you just as soon as I can!

Happy reading!

Sunny with a chance of snow . . .

Yeah.Β  A bit odd that, eh?

At the moment the sun might be shining, but I just went outside for some wood for the fire and there is ICE in the wind. The prediction is for more snow tonight, so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!

At least it’s good weather for curling up in front of the fire with a good book, or iPad, or Kindle, or whatever your instrument of choice may be! πŸ™‚

So, with that in mind, today I offer another new chapter for Prisoner of Carronne, and two more revised chapters of Song For Guy!

Please enjoy! πŸ™‚

Expect a blizzard they said . . .

Well, that didn’t quite eventuate, but still is was cold enough and wet enough and it snowed enough to want to stay inside for most of the weekend!

Some of you have asked whether or not I got hit by the cold blast that the news channels had predicted . . . well, here’s what happened! πŸ˜‰

When I woke up this morning the farm was covered with snow, especially out on the open areas. The back yard had a thick layer, broken only by the tracks of a dog who was loose! lol

the horses are fed

As you can see, feeding the horses was a bit of a challenge today! πŸ˜‰

Unfortunately the batteries were flat in my camera, so I couldn’t take any photos, but I managed to pinch one from my neighbour’s FB page which gives some idea of what it all looked like . . .

snow 2

By the time I left for work this morning the drizzle was back and quite a lot of the snow was gone . . . but apparently there’s more on the way! **sigh**

Anyhow, I think this is about enough snow for me. It’s about as much we get most years, and it doesn’t stay around forever . . . unlike that big dump we had back in 1984, which is what we had been told to expect! lol

It will be interesting to see if we get a repeat dose tomorrow now!

Back again . . .

G’day folks! πŸ™‚

Yes, I’m back again, and with a couple more revised chapters of Song For Guy for you. I also have some other stuff which is off being edited at the moment, but it looks like that will have to be held over until next week.

At the moment we’re bracing ourselves for a cold snap that is supposed to be hitting us this coming weekend. Apparently we can expect to see a bigger snow fall than the one we had in 1984 . . . which cut roads and blanketed the place with two feet of snow (yeah, IΒ  know my American friends are probably chuckling to themselves right now), but for a place that usually only gets a light dusting maybe once a year it’s a pretty big deal! LOL

And in other news, I’m in mourning today . . . our state’s (New South Wales) rugby league team got thrashed last night in the deciding game of a three game series we call State of Origin by those dreaded Queenslanders! It was a depressing night’s TV, let me tell you! lol

Anyhow, I guess there’s always next year!

OK then, until next time, happy reading! Take care!

Greetings earthlings!

Just letting you know that a couple more chapters of Song For Guy have been posted this morning for you. Sadly I still don’t have anything else to add to it, you know, by way of new chapters for other stories, but rest assured work is still progressing on those!Β  πŸ™‚

So, what about the decision from SCOTUS, huh? How freakin’ awesome was that? And now the movement is growing for Australia toΒ  **finally**Β  join in the equality issue, with news that a bill is set to go before our parliament in August! I suspect that it won’t happen quite as soon as that, but I feel confident that by the end of this year we will have some positive news!

And apart from all that, the only other exciting thing to happen in the last week was that I went to our local cinema for like, the first time in years! LOL

The last movie I went to see was Ted . . . so that would have been 2012 ( according to imdb.com ) . . . damn! πŸ˜‰

Anyhow I went to see Jurassic World . . . and man, oh, man, how good was that? I loved it . . . especially at the end when . . . oh wait, you probably haven’t all seen it yet, have you? Well, take it from me . . . you should go see it! It’s way cool!Β  πŸ˜‰

Anyhow, I guess that’s enough babbling from me for this week. Happy reading!

‘Ello ‘Ello

Howdy folks. I hope this finds you all well?

Just letting you know that I’ve added a couple more revised chapters to Song For Guy for you this week. Unfortunately I haven’t managed to finalise any more chapters from other stories, but will continue to post these as they are finished and edited.

One thing I did notice this week, however, was that I have reached a couple of milestones, neither of which I really expected to ever get to! lol

The first of these is that the website has just ticked over to 250,000 page views, which, by some standards might not be that high, but to me it is still quite a feat. It means that in the roughly two years since I rebuilt my website (with quite a bit of help from some friends, of course) we have averaged around 340 page views per day. That’s pretty cool, I reckon! πŸ˜‰

The other milestone is that I’ve recently ticked over to having written and had posted online more than ONE MILLION words since I first started back at this writing caper! Damn, that’s a lot! lol

Anyhow, thank you for continuing to read my stories, and thank you for your comments and support!

Happy reading!

Better late than never . . .

Well folks, yesterday was a bugger of a day. So that’s why I’m running a day late with my postings!

First off, thanks to work stuff happening, I didn’t get near a computer to be able to do my posts, and when I got home and tried logging in I discovered I was out of credit with my internet account. 😦

So, now that’s all been sorted today, here are this weeks postings!Β  πŸ™‚

First off, there’s Sandmen Chapter 4, then we have two chapters of Song For Guy!

I’d also like to give a bit of a shout out about a story I’ve just finished reading over at Dabeagle.com. It’sΒ  called Summer’s End and was written by Ryan Bartlett and was a very enjoyable read. I think you’ll like it!

OK then, it’s time for me to get back to work!

Happy reading! πŸ™‚

Something to read for a Thursday . . .

Howdy folks!

Yup, it’s that time of the week again, and this week I have a couple more revised chapters of Song For Guy for you!

The next chapter for Sandmen has been sent off for editing, but alas it wasn’t back in time. I will most likely hold it over for next weeks post, although if it does come back this afternoon I’ll add it for you.

I mentioned a few weeks back that I picked up a couple of boxes of books at a local book fair and I have to admit that in recent weeks I’ve made a start on them — quite probably at the detriment of my getting some writing done, but hey, even I need to kick back every once in a while and enjoy a good book!Β  πŸ˜‰

Amongst them were a few YA books that I thought looked interesting. The first one I read was So Hard To Say by Alex Sanchez, which I found to be quite an enjoyable read and one that I would recommend to anyone looking for something that wasn’t too heavy.

The next I read was Boy Toy by Barry Lyga, which I have to admit was heavy going in a few places (the subject of the story is a boy coming to terms with having been molested as a 12 year old by his female teacher), but still it is one that I thoroughly recommend. It was one of those rare books that stayed with me for a long while after I had finished reading it. It really was a memorable read.

Right now I’m reading The Smoke Jumper by Nicholas Evans (he wrote The Horse Whisperer and The Loop — one of my very favourite books!!!) and while it’s probably not quite as engaging as his other works, it is still a good read (so far!)

Anyhow, that’s about it from me for now. Until next week, happy reading!
