Running very late . . .

G’day folks! My humble apologies for the updates not being done yesterday, but I’ve been waiting on files to come back from editing!

It seems that Jerry, my editor, went away for a few days on the day I sent the new chapters to him, so I only got them back this morning! Anyhow, not to worry . . . I’m just extremely grateful that he is there and willing to help out whenever he can. He does an awesome job for me and I’d be lost without him!

So, now that we’re ready to roll once more, I have some offerings for you! 🙂

Chapter Nine of Prisoner of Carronne has now been posted, and continuing with my promise to revise and post all my earlier stories, the first two chapters of Song For Guy have also been uploaded! So please enjoy!

This week I have also finalised the posting of Mardi Gras Murders over at the Nifty site, with a flood of emails coming in from new readers I’ve picked up from there, and who have also now been pointed here!

As for the future, well, at the very least I should have revised chapters of my earlier stories available for posting each week, along with new chapters of whatever it is I’m working on at the time (currently that is Prisoner of Carronne and Sandmen). I can’t promise I’ll have new stuff every week, but rest assured I’m still working on things as time permits and there are plenty of new projects waiting for me, so I have enough to keep me busy for quite a while yet! 😉

Thank you all for your patience . . . and your support, and I’ll see you next week!

Take care!

Another day . . . another dollar . . . (I wish! lol)

Hi folks,

Sorry for running a bit later than usual today . . . I’ve been hoping the new chapter for Prisoner of Carronne would come back from editing, so I had been holding off. Unfortunately it didn’t do me any good waiting though, but if it comes through tomorrow I will post it as soon as I can.

In the mean time, here are the final two revised chapters for The Rip.

Next week I hope to start posting the revised chapters of Song For Guy, and hopefully a few other bits and pieces as well! 😉

Last weekend I had the pleasure of attending a local book fair which is held every year by our local Rotary Club as a fund raiser. There were thousands of donated books for sale over the whole week, but I usually wait until the last day when they have a special . . . fill up a box for $5! I might have missed out on some good books by doing that, but they usually sell through the week for around $5 EACH, and besides the week day crowds annoy me, so that’s why I wait until last day . . . fewer people and bargains to boot! LOL

I ended up with two boxes (about 30 books in total – and all for just $10), including a heap of hard covers in good condition (John Grisham, James A Michener, Nicholas Evans and The Cider House Rules – cant remember the authors name a.t.m.) . . . some of which were ones I had always wanted to read. I also got some paperbacks (including a replacement copy of a John Gilstrap book I loaned a friend many years ago and never saw again), a biography of George Johnston (remember me referencing him in A Good Place?), some romance paperbacks for my mother and a few Australian themed books for my father. Not a bad haul even if I do say so myself! 🙂

Now all I need to do is find some time to do some reading! lol

Anyhow, as promised, I will post the new Prisoner chapter as soon as I receive it.

In the mean time, happy reading, and take care.

Cheers.

I’m still here . . .

Howdy folks!

Sad to say I don’t have any more updates for the current stories today . . . just a couple more revised chapters of The Rip for you.

I’m afraid the past few weeks have been busy with work, which has eaten into my writing time, and as I only work part-time, when the boss says there is work to be done I can’t afford to knock it back! 😉

Anyhow, rest assured I’m still working on new chapters for Prisoner of Carronne and Sandmen, and just as soon as they are ready to go you’ll get them!

In the mean time, enjoy your reading and stay well.

Cheers!

Just a quickie today . . .

. . . and no, it’s not that kind of quickie!

Well folks, what can I say . . . work has severely hampered my writing time this past week, so unfortunately I’m still working on new chapters for Prisoner of Carronne and Sandmen. All I can offer you this week I’m afraid are two revised chapters of The Rip.

Until next time, then, take care!

Post Time!

Howdy folks!

Yes, once again it is that time of the week, so I have some offerings for you!

First off, I’ve finally managed to get Chapter Three of Sandmen finished and edited for you.

I’ve also added two revised chapters of The Rip, along with Chapter Eight of The Prisoner of Carronne.

Please enjoy! 🙂

And while I think of it . . .

I meant to mention that my good friend Dave from Dabeagle.com is about to have his fantastic story Wayward Son published and available for sale on Amazon!

The Kindle edition is available for pre-order now, while the paperback will be available in August I believe!

And while I’m at it, I’ve also added a new site to my links page … that belonging to my friend Remmy Meggs, so please check out some of his great stories as well!  I have added links to two of his stories, The Travis Theory and Grapes of Italy, onto my Recommended Readings page!

Enjoy!

Back into the swing of things . . .

Hi folks!

First off, let me say thank you very much for all your kind comments following the final chapters of A Good Place being posted. I am very grateful for all of your support and your feedback, which has been quite overwhelming!

I would also like to thank the many people who visited the website of Father Chris Riley’s Youth of the Streets program! (My stats page tells me just which links my readers have clicked on! lol)

I don’t know how many of you may have made a donation, but it was quite gratifying that so many of you took the time to check out what they do, and hopefully they will have benefited from my having highlighted their work.

And so, now for this weeks postings! 🙂

Chapter Seven of The Prisoner of Carronne has now been added, along with the first two chapters of the story which followed After We Danced, which is called The Rip — in keeping with my promise to revise and post those earlier stories that I hadn’t yet added to this new website.

I have also finished the next installment for Sandmen, however, as my editor is away at the moment I haven’t been able to get him to work his magic on it just yet, so it will be held over until next week.

So, that’s about it for now! Enjoy your reading!

Take care!

Such a sad day . . .

. . . for both Australia and Indonesia!

What happened today was not the answer, despite their original crimes.

RIP Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran!

Oh my! Oh wow!

Well folks, once again you have left me speechless. Not only by the fact that we’ve had another record day on the website, with there having been 1883 page views, but also by your comments and emails. I am truly grateful for the support that you continue to given me! Thank you so much!

When I started writing A Good Place one of the things that I had in mind was that I would like to try and publish it … you know, as in a book … with the intention then being to donate the proceeds to a cause that I felt was worthy, and which reflected, at least in part, one of the themes from the story; that of troubled, homeless and abused youth.

In the end I didn’t go down the publishing path (or at least I haven’t tried to as yet), instead opting to post the story on my website for you all. Now that I have done that and the story has been completed, however, I think I’m going to ask a favour of those of you who may be in a position to help out.

I have never asked for anything from any of you … in fact I have even rejected offers from some of you to donate to me personally to help cover my internet costs etc … but now I think I am going to ask you for something … but remember it’s not for me, okay?

In Australia there are a number of organisations dealing with the problem of affected youth, but there is one in particular that does an amazing job, through a wide variety of programs, one of which is managed by a friend of mine. It is Father Chris Riley’s YOUTH OFF THE STREETS. Just take a look at their website to see the type of services they provide for vulnerable Australian youth.

As I mentioned, they do an amazing job, but as with all of these organisations funding can be hard to come by. So, here’s what I am asking you to do. If you liked my story and if you are in a position to be able to help (and I can certainly understand that some of you won’t be able to, or some of you are already supporting other worthy causes in your area, so it’s perfectly okay if you can’t) … there is a Donate Now button on their website (just click on the link above).

If you can help out even in just a small way (like the cost of a cup of coffee), I would be very grateful, as I am sure Youth of the Streets would be as well!!!

Anyhow, thank you again for all your support … and I’ll see you again next Thursday!

Take care!

That time of the week again . . .

Yes, folks. It’s that time of the week again!

First off, I can say that a new chapter of The Prisoner of Carronne has been added for you, while this week we wrap up A Good Place with the final three chapters!

Thank you to all of those who have emailed or messaged me to say how you have enjoyed this story. It’s quite gratifying to know that there are so many of you out there who have grown to love these characters and this place.

And even though this might be the end of this story, have no fear, because I can guarantee you that I will eventually revisit these characters to see how they have been getting on!!! 😉

So, that’s it for this week. Until next time, Happy Reading!
